Prepare for the fight
This route starts with Davy already at the Wyvern encounter and equipped with early Styles and OT Gear. Werewolf helps with aerial approach and combos. If you already own a homing-missile OT option, it can keep damage going when the boss is hard to reach. Neither is a mandatory endgame build.
Level 30 or above is a comfort recommendation, not a minimum entry requirement. Davy Burst is useful if unlocked, but it is not required to start this fight.
Repeat this attack-and-recovery loop
- Move out of fire. Keep moving during fireballs and ground fire. Get clear of red danger attacks. Rocks can briefly block an attack, but they break; do not camp behind them.
- Use the updraft. Look for the rising air the Wyvern creates, approach it and jump toward the airborne target. Use normal attacks once close. The basic inputs are Space / Cross to jump and left mouse / Square to attack.
- Recover through Bite. Normal attacks build the gauge. Use R / R2 for Bite when needed. Shift / L2 Parry is not a safe answer to every red attack or a persistent fire patch.
- Punish the knockdown. Damage can bring the Wyvern to the ground. Use Style Skill (Q / L1), OT Active Skill (E / Circle) and, if available, Davy Burst (Z / L3 + R3). Leave new fire before committing to another combo.
- Reset the loop. Move, close the gap and attack again. A short safe opening is better than staying in fire to finish one extra combo.
How to tell you have won
The Wyvern health bar and Defeat the Wyvern objective end, Reach KOM returns, and loot and an exit become available. Collect the reward and continue. This is an approach for clearing the encounter, not a guaranteed no-damage strategy.
