Before changing a save
An isolated ID6 label is not enough to identify a known cause. A confirmed ID6-specific repair is not available here. Do not delete a save, overwrite Steam Cloud, edit the registry or download an unknown repair tool on the strength of that label.
Keep these three situations separate
| What you see | What it means for your next step |
|---|---|
| A completed First Bite save cannot start another dive | The demo has a replay restriction. This is not itself an ID6 diagnosis. |
| Davy Burst stops working after demo carryover | Some players report this symptom, while other transfers work. It does not establish an ID6 cause. |
| A message explicitly contains ID6 | Keep the full text and identify the platform, version and triggering action. A matching recovery procedure is not confirmed. |
Initialize Saved Data deletes existing play data. An instruction about replaying the demo is not evidence that deleting data repairs an ID6 message or recovers lost progress.
What to send to support
Record the complete error text, your platform and game version, and whether the message appears during launch, saving or demo transfer. Describe what you did immediately before it appeared and whether you still have access to the previous save.
Use SEGA Support for the game’s official support route. Keep the error and your progress intact while asking for a procedure specific to that message.
